I also spend time volunteering at the local VA hospital in Springfield. While I don’t perform any direct clinical duties during my time at the VA, I do spend an ample amount of time spending time communicating with the people who are there seeking treatment. I have spent time at the VA every Saturday for the past four months and feel as though this experience has helped me dramatically when it comes to verbal communication with patients.
